We initially arrived at Panama City at the beginning of our travels but immediately flew from Albrook to Bocas del Toro to celebrate the new year. Three weeks later we arrived again via bus from Santa Catalina. We had heard stories of Panama City being overpriced and pretty boring from other travellers so our hopes weren’t very high.
- OCEAN SUN CASINO View: on the first night arriving in Panama City we went out for some underwhelming sushi and then made our way over to the Ocean Sun Casino to the 62nd floor. This is the home of Panaviera a restaurant and bar with an infinity pool. It was free to enter, but we bought a cocktail to enjoy the insane view with.
- CASCO VIEJO (The Old Town)
Famous for its colonial buildings and architecture, Casco Viejo was one of my favourite places in Panama City. Very insta-hipster and coffee shops galore. We took a Uber there from our hostel which cost about $4.50 between us.
